Around 25,000 residences in south-east Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems swept through the area, bringing strong winds topping 109km/h.
Substantial Hailstones and Widespread Impact
Residents observed giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7cm in particular locations. Weather authorities confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Emergency crews were focused on reestablishing electricity service throughout the damaged zones, with nearly 70 crews working to handle the extensive power failures.

State Emergency Services responded to 598 emergency reports across the region, primarily for building damage but also for fallen timber and flooding.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.
Tomorrow was forecast to be the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity expected across different parts of both regions.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the current weather patterns.
